The operation of GCE is based on an open toll system, whereby irrespective of which entrance to the GCE the user enters, the same toll rate will be imposed.

At GCE you have the choice of paying toll in cash, or you could pay electronically using the Touch ‘n Go Card or SmartTAG device. The electronic payment system will benefit you by:
- reducing your travel time
- eliminating the need for change
- reducing congestion on the expressway
- allowing you to reload your card at your convenience
- allowing you to manage your own account online and receive regular statements
